If so, Nealanders International Inc. invites you to submit an application for consideration for The Matt Tatham Memorial Awards. Each year, an Award Selection Committee chooses a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner to receive the following awards:

In 2009, this award was renamed in memory of Matt Tatham, a graduate of the Food Science Program at the University of Guelph, who was employed at Nealanders International Inc. as a Business Manager. Learn more about Matt and his remarkable accomplishments here.
Deadline
All application submissions must be received by, or post-marked for, March 5th of the current calendar year.
Eligibility
You must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in the B. Sc Specialized honours Program at the University of Guelph. You must have a minimum cumulative average of 70%.
Submission Requirements
Please type or print neatly in blue or black ink. It is imperative that your application contains all five (5) requirements listed below; incomplete submissions will not be considered. Your application must include:
- Application form (click here to print a copy), fully completed and signed
- Two (2) letters of recommendation; ideal sources include a professor, employer or representative from a community service organization
- Up to three (3) pages in total, outlining your responses to the following questions:
- What are your goals upon graduation?
- What contributions have you made (academic and/or extra-curricular) to the Department of Food Science, Food Science Club, University and Community beyond (either on or off-campus)?
- Matt Tatham was a well-rounded individual, with impressive athletic accomplishments and extensive interests and hobbies. Read about Matt here. What activities do you participate in (health and wellness, hobbies, etc.) that make you a well-rounded applicant for this award?
- A copy of your most recent transcript that verifies the following:
- Current program of study
- Percentage of the program completed
- Full-time student status
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae

The Selection Process
The Award Selection Committee will consist of two representatives from Nealanders International Inc., and at least one Faculty member of the Department of Food Science, University of Guelph. Selected applicants will be interviewed by the Committee. Successful applicants will be invited to receive their award at an upcoming Annual Nealanders Reception.
